Pari Maleki
Born in 1951 Pari Maleki, who now leads the music group Khonya as a vocalist and instructor, has been teaching traditional music for over 23 years. She has been trained by Great musicians like Nasrollah Nasehpour, Mahmoud Karimi, Ali Jahandar, Amir Payvar and also various other sources of music. From 1994 with the formation of Khonya she had various performances in Iran, France, Germany, U.K., Austria, Switzerland and Belgium. She had also performed in 3 Documentaries, directed by Khosrow Sinaei and teaching music with Kiomars Pourahmad she co-operated in Shabe Yalda (Iranian movie – telecasted in Cinema). Pari Maleki won "Life time achievement award" in 18th International Fajr Music festival. Naming the latest overseas performances of Pari Maleki the Europe tour 2008 and also performing in UNESCO's office could be pin pointed. She had recorded more than 9 CDs which are heard by many peoples, such as “Forgotten Stories”, “A Tribute to Ba’naan”, “Tehran 1960s”, “Reminiscences of Iran”, “More Beautiful than Mooss

Jalal Amir pour Saied (b.1972)-Composer and Tar player
اHe started music in 1983 with playing Clarinet and won the first prize for playing Clarinet in 1987.At the same time he learned playing Tar and Daf with some of the great Iranian masters like: Houshang Zarif and Bijan Kamkar.
He is an official member of Iranian National Orchestra conducted by Farhad Fakhreddini, also had some performances with Tehran Symphonic Orchestra conducted by Majid Entezami and Manoochehr Sahbaie, Mezrabi Orchestra conducted by Hossein Dehlavi, Simorgh Orchestra conducted by Hamid Motebassem and Mohammadreza Darvishi, Afarinesh Chamber Orchestra conducted by Nader Mashayekhi and also cooperated different bands and ensembles like: Eal music ensamble, Sorayan, Mazamir, Golbang and many others.
He has been teaching in university and different music institutes, announced as the best music teacher in cultural institute related to University of Tehran for three years.
He had many concerts in different cities and many other countries like: Germany, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherland, Portugal, Italy, Sweden, Denmark and many others. He also played for some soundtracks and albums.
He graduated in traditional arts research with M.A degree. He is a member of Iran’s Radio music council.

Bamdad Maleki (b.1985)-Frame Drums and Tonbak player
Learned playing Tonbak with Mahmoud Farahmand Bafi and playing Oud with Mohammad Firouzi also learned many techniques from Pazhham akhavass and Pajman Haddadi. He had many concerts with khonya ensemble in Iran and different countries like: France, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, England and many others.
He played in an album recently released named “NOW” which is a duet for Piano and Tonbak.

Ava Ayubi (b.1978)

Entered Tehran Conservatory in 1989 and started to learn Tar with Behrouz Hemmati. She entered the music university in 1996. She is a member of Iran’s Radio and Television orchestra and Iran’s National orchestra. She had many concerts with Khonya ensemble in Iran and many other countries like Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, also a performance in UNESCO office in Paris (2006).

Started to learn Daf From 1999 with teachers like: Behnam Salehi, Mahmoud Balandeh and Masoud Habibi and Tonbak from 2001 with teachers like: Mahmoud Farahmand, Arash Farhangfar, Pezhham Akhavass and Navid Afghah. He had many concerts with different ensembles like: Niwak Percussion ensemble, Barbad and many others; Also played for some movie Soundtracks.

Behrang Baghayee (b.1981)-Composer and Tar player
Started learning Tar from 1991 with Tinoush Bahrami, Siamak Nemat Naser, Peyman Khosravi, Ali Samadpour, Houshang Zarif and Fariborz Azizi; Also learned music theories from Kamran Omid, Ramin Behna and Mazda Ansari. He also learned to play Iranian folk instruments with using audio references. He had many concerts with different ensembles like: Eal music ensemble, Behna ensemble, Sangfarsh and Khonya. Also had many performances with theatre groups like: Virgule performing arts group, kooch, In rooz-ha and some others. He composed music for many dramas, short films and TV series since 1998 till now; also cooperated in many released music albums as an instrument player and Composer’s assistant. He graduated in Painting from Azad Art and Architecture University with B.A degree..

Houmaan Roumy (b.1977)-Kamancheh Player
Started to learn Kamancheh from Hadi Montazeri, Ali-Akbar Shekarchi, Keyhan Kalhor and Marahemy. He graduated in music from Art University of Tehran and teaches in Azad University of Shiraz. He had many concerts as a solo artist or joining famous artists like Mohsen Nafar and Masoud Shoari in Iran and many other countries. As a soloist he joined “New Ensemble”, a modern ensemble in Netherland and had some performances with them in France and Germany. He cooperated in many released music albums as an arranger and instrument player.
